 About

Counselling

I wonder what someone looking for a counsellor is wanting.
Perhaps there is something in your life that you find difficult, maybe a specific difficulty?

It may be that you are in some form of personal distress?

A friend may have mentioned counselling to you?

Whatever it is that has brought you to this site is important to you.

We all have difficulties in our lives and live with many of them just fine; it’s when they become problematic, overwhelming or prevent us from being who we really are that they limit us. This can cause distress, anxiety and sometimes depression.

This is when it can help to talk to a trained person to try to sort out the maze of what is going on. People often think of counsellors as having solutions but counsellors may only have some expertise in listening, reflecting and possibly asking some of the right questions in a safe and bounded place.

What counselling does is provides the safe space to explore our complex lives when they become difficult.
